Hotel Transylvania 3: a Monster Vacation

This third instalment of the animation franchise takes us out to sea, with Count Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) and his family headed on vacation to Atlantis. Light, colourful and intent on hilarity, the story retains much of the charm of its predecessors, creating a world of wacky characters armed with quick-fire jokes. Barely a scene goes by without an entertaining gag or elaborate sequence, including a booby trap-laden dance scene between Dracula and his love interest Ericka (Kathryn Hahn). At its heart is a sincere message about the importance of family, but the sketchy plot is more concerned with eliciting chuckles as it builds to its gleefully silly finale.
