This raucous comedy follows three 12-year-old friends (Jacob Tremblay, Keith L Williams and Brady Noon) as they embark on a perilous mission after they break a family member's drone. While the film's potty-mouthed humour can be shocking, it's difficult not to be won over by the boys' adorable linguistic flubs ("two weeks into sixth grade and I'm already a social piranha!") and their earnest acceptance of the dangers of drugs. The more edgy scenes are hit and miss - their comedy fight in a frat house is fun, but the numerous sex gags get old. With its sweet message about friendship, Good Boys is the pre-teen comedy you never knew you needed.
