Yes, as many suspected, Heisenberg himself features in El Camino. However, he's not the same Walter White we saw in the Breaking Bad finale: the genius meth maker appears in a flashback of the show’s second season.

Before becoming best known for playing Walter White in Breaking Bad, Cranston was most famous for playing dad Hal in Malcolm in the Middle. He’s also enjoyed roles in Seinfeld (as Dr Tim Whatley), Power Rangers, Isle of Dogs and Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams.

Jesse Plemons plays Todd Alquist

Nephew to neo-nazi leader Jack Welker, Todd is an ex-meth-making partner to Jesse and Walt.

Seemingly gentle and kind, Todd has a murderous streak, killing a child to cover up a train robbery. He also previously shot dead Andrea, Jesse’s former partner, to keep Pinkman in line.

What else has Jesse Plemons been in?

Nicknamed ‘Meth Damon’ to Breaking Bad fans due to his resemblance to actor Matt Damon, Plemons is best known for his role in the AMC drama. However, he’s also enjoyed roles in Fargo, Black Mirror, Battleship and The Master.

Scott MacArthur plays Neil

Neil is one of the police officers that arrive in Todd’s old apartment as Jesse searches the scene.

However, it turns out that (SPOILER ALERT), Neil is not a cop, but a crook on the hunt for Todd’s money. And not only that – through a flashback we learn Neil is the wielder that constructed the metal rigging Jesse was chained to while enslaved by a neo-Nazi group.

In case you're wondering, Neil is not a character that previously featured in the Breaking Bad TV series.

You may recognize MacArthur from Fox comedy The Mick (where he played Jimmy Shepherd). He has also enjoyed small roles in Mad Men, The Mindy Project, The Diabolical and NCIS.

Scott Shepherd plays Casey

Casey is one of the policemen that arrives at Todd’s old apartment with Neil.

But (SPOILER INCOMING) it transpires that, like Neil, Casey is actually a criminal on the hunt for Todd’s secret cash stash.

Shepherd has enjoyed plenty of roles in major releases, including X-Men’s Dark Phoenix (where he played John Grey), Jason Bourne (spy boss Edwin Russell), The Young Pope (Cardinal Dussolier) and Bridge of Spies (Hoffman).

Robert Forster plays Ed

Although posing as a vacuum salesman, Ed is actually a man who relocates criminals for a living – for a hefty fee of $125,000 he will give anyone a new identity.

Ed previously featured in Breaking Bad, helping Walter White make a getaway to New Hampshire. The character also makes an appearance in Better Call Saul where he assists Jimmy’s escape to Nebraska.

Forster has starred in the likes of Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown (where he played Max Cherry), The Descendants (Scott Thorson), Olympus Has Fallen (General Edward Clegg), Last Man Standing (Bud Baxter), Twin Peaks (Sheriff Frank Truman) and Heroes (Arthur Petrelli).

Krysten Ritter plays Jane Margolis

Appearing in one of the many flashbacks in El Camino is Jane, a tattoo artist and former partner of Jesse.

Falling in love with Pinkman in season two of Breaking Bad, Jane was brutally killed off, choking on her own vomit after a drugs overdose. However, as fans of the show will know, her death wasn’t inevitable: Walter White had the chance to save Jane, but chose not to in order to gain more control over Jesse.

What else has Krysten Ritter been in?

Jessica Jones: that’s where you know her from. Ritter played the titular superhero-turned-detective in all three seasons of the Netflix show.

The actor has also starred in Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, 'Til Death and Gravity.
