Paddington is on the cover of this week's Radio Times family film special
In this week's issue, everybody's favourite bear heads to Peru for his greatest adventure, and discover 10 magic movies for everyone to enjoy this autumn.
Whether you have just had half-term or it's looming, the question of how to entertain the children or grandchildren in the autumn and winter is never far away. Finding a film that the family can watch at the cinema or on TV can be a struggle. Something with enough appeal and magic for little ones, with good jokes and pacey enough for the adults.
Have no fear - Paddington to the rescue! Paddington and Paddington 2 redefined the term "family film" and now the third in the series, Paddington in Peru, is in cinemas from 8 November.
The films have a slightly chaotic British charm that runs through them. When we asked Ben Whishaw, who voices Paddington, how he embodies the bear from Peru, he cheerfully admits, "I have no idea what I'm doing". There's something very reassuring about that.
Also, look out for another British literary classic in this week's issue. Collect the tokens in Radio Times and you'll receive the first three Slow Horses books by Mick Herron for the cost of postage and packing. Perfect for whiling away the autumnal evenings.
