Since then, it's been an action-packed journey for Disney Plus. The streaming service kicked things off in style with The Mandalorian, the first of many additions to the Star Wars universe, including Ahsoka and Andor.

Marvel has also been a prominent franchise on the platform thanks to popular series like Loki and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law impressing both seasoned Marvel fans and newcomers alike.

We've also seen a number of high-profile films make their way to the service, such as Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid, Poor Things, and since 15th March 2024, Taylor Swift's The Eras tour film has also been available to stream on the platform.

The service is accessible via a number of different devices, including some Apple TVs, although your options will vary depending on which generation you currently own.

Here's which Apple TV models are compatible – and how to download the Disney Plus app.

Can I get Disney Plus on Apple TV?

Yes, the Disney Plus app is available on Apple TV, meaning you can watch it alongside other streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Now TV.

The app can also be connected to the official Apple TV app, which means Disney content will be integrated into offerings from your other streaming subscriptions much like Sky Q. If you have BT though, bad news, you can't integrate Disney Plus with your current set up.

The app is only available on newer Apple TV models - either an Apple TV HD fourth generation or later, or an Apple TV 4K.
