Following the recent, tragic death of S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole, the band today announced that their 2023 reunion tour will still go ahead and be performed in his memory.

The pop group took to social media to share the news, with Jon Lee saying: “It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us but in all honesty, we’ve been in a bit of shock.

“It has taken a while for us to find the right words to describe how we feel about losing our brother Paul.”

In a video posted to Instagram, the band then confirmed that their sixth member, Hannah Spearritt, would not be appearing in the reunion tour. Lee said: “The five of us are really excited and geared up to crack on."

The band then confirmed that the autumn reunion shows would be dedicated to their late band member, saying “It’s going to be our tribute to Paul. So, we are actually renaming the tour The Good Times Tour, which is the song that Paul was going to sing.”

S Club 7 will be heading on tour this October, with 14 shows spread across the UK and Ireland to celebrate their 25 years in the music industry.

The English pop group shot to fame in the late 1990s when they starred in their own BBC television series, Miami 7. But it was when S Club 7 released the theme music to the show, Bring It All Back, as their debut single that things really started to soar for the group. Bring It All Back reached number one in the UK Singles Charts and, after selling more than 600,000 copies, it was certified Platinum.

Over the course of 1999, the group enjoyed even more success, with S Club Party entering the UK charts at number two, and their debut album S Club also reaching number two and becoming certified Double Platinum.

In their five years together, S Club 7 had four number-one singles, a number one album, a Top 10 hit in America, and won two BRIT awards: British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single. One of the last times S Club 7 all performed together was in 2014 for BBC Children in Need - and now, they’re back. With a reunion tour taking place this year, here’s how you can get tickets.
