Jack Hamilton – Adam Carmichael
Adam Carmichael is Yvonne and Gary’s troubled, but musically talented, son. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when he was 17. He recently flew the family nest to live in Manchester, never failing to be a worry for his overly protective mother.
Where do I recognise him from?
Jack Hamilton is relatively new on the scene, having graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2015. He has previously secured roles in Call the Midwife, Doctors, and Penny Dreadful.
Olivia Vinall – Carrie Carmichael
Carrie Carmichael has followed in her parents’ footsteps with her foray into science by way of haematology. She’s the eldest child with a good heart and strong sensibility. She looks up to Yvonne as her role model.
Where do I recognise her from?
Olivia Vinall trained at Drama Studio London. As well as covering various stage shows, such as Young Chekhov and King Lear for the National Theatre, you can also catch her in Midsomer Murders and Doctor Who.
Susan Lynch – Susannah
Susannah is Yvonne and Gary’s close friend and she assumes that they have a happy relationship. Her own taste in men leaves much to be desired after a string of former flames has amounted to nothing.
Where do I recognise her from?
Northern Irish actress Susan Lynch trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has taken on theatre, film, and television roles, perhaps most notable of which are the lead role in Nora and playing the mother of troubled Daryl in Happy Valley.
