Chiké Okonkwo – Chokey

Who does he play? Chokey is Mrs Beste-Chetwynde's latest squeeze, who accompanies her to her son's school sports day. He's very earnest about music and architecture, but his race causes a stir amongst the other parents.

Where have I seen him before? Chiké Okonkwo has played PC Clark in New Tricks and DC Callum Gada in Paradox. He's also an acclaimed stage actor.


Matthew Beard – Arthur Potts

Who does he play? Serious-minded Arthur Potts is Pennyfeather's buddy at Scone College, Oxford. He likes to take rubbings at churches for fun.

Where have I seen him before? Matthew Beard played Peter Hilton in The Imitation Game alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. He also took on the role of Blake Morrison in the 2007 film And When Did You Last See Your Father? which also starred Jim Broadbent and Colin Firth.


Tim Pigott-Smith – Sniggs

Who does he play? Mr Sniggs is the Junior Dean at Scone College. He presides over the chucking-out of poor Pennyfeather, and tolerates the antics of the Bollinger Club.

Where have I seen him before? You'll have seen Tim Piggott-Smith on stage, on TV and on the big screen. He's starred in The Vice, North and South, The Remains of the Day, V for Vendetta... the list goes on. Recently he earned Tony and Olivier nominations for his starring role as the Prince of Wales in King Charles III.


Anatole Taubman – Otto Silenus

Who does he play? Otto is the humourless German architect who has just built Margot's house. He's still living in it, sleeping with his host and making pornographic sketches. Pennyfeather doesn't like him very much.

Where have I seen him before? Anatole Taubman is actually from Switzerland. You may recognise him as King Louis' enemy Montcourt from Versailles.
