Vivian Norbury – Marcia Warren
Meet Agent Norbury An initially unassuming civil servant, Vivian Norbury holds a relatively low level secret service post under Mycroft and enjoys breaking out of her role for a bit of banter with Sherlock early on in The Six Thatchers. But she as the episode draws to a close, she turns out to be far more integral to the story than she first appears...
What else has Marcia Warren been in? Marcia Warren has been working on stage and screen for decades and is one of those actors whose face you may recognise even if you don't know her name. Viewers of a certain age might recognise Warren as Vera Botting, the troublesome neighbour from '80s sitcom No Place Like Home, while more recent comedy outings have included Jam & Jerusalem and Vicious with Derek Jacobi and Ian McKellen.
The extremely versatile Warren has also popped up in numerous UK drama series, including long-running stalwarts Holby City, The Bill, Midsomer Murders, Doctors and Casualty, and fittingly once starred in 1970s mystery series The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes.
