Louise Brealey – Molly Hooper
Meet Molly Hooper Molly Hooper is a pathologist working at St Bart's Hospital in London, who once had a huge crush on Sherlock. She has helped him with a number of cases, most notably when Sherlock faked his own death in his attempts to escape Moriarty's henchmen. Also does babysitting (for John's daughter Rosie and for Sherlock).
What else has Louise Brealey been in? Brealey maintains an impressively multi-tasking career as an actor, writer, producer and journalist, having written about film, music and art for publications such as The Times, Empire, The Face and, indeed, Radio Times.
On screen, she played nurse Roxy Bird in two series of Casualty and Anorak, Alistair McGowan’s sidekick, in short-lived crime caper Mayo. She was Judy Smallweed in the BBC adaptation of Bleak House, and produced, co-wrote and co-starred in children’s comedy drama The Charles Dickens Show. In 2015, Brealey played another medic, Dr Amelia Frayn, in period crime drama Ripper Street, turned up in an episode of Inspector George Gently and had supporting roles in movies Victor Frankenstein and Containment.
Brealey has enjoyed a successful stage career, including starring as Little Nell for Sir Peter Hall, and playing three leading roles – Cassandra, Andromache and Helen of Troy – in The Trojan Women.
