“Peter [Morgan]’s given her much more of an edge than I think people are going to expect her to have,” says Hamilton. “I’ve learnt a lot about her need to preserve the institution that is the Royal Family and how involved she was in that.”

Best known for her role as Victoria in Victoria and Albert, Hamilton has also played several comedy roles, including in the very recent Our Ex-Wife and The Circuit.
