John Channing – Ashley Walters

Those of a certain age may remember Ashley Walters as Asher D, a former rapper in urban music collective So Solid Crew but his most prominent acting credits include PC Ryan Draper in BBC police show Cuffs and as the eponymous Top Boy in Channel 4's acclaimed crime drama.

Simon Duke – Jason Watkins

Nine years ago, Simon Duke lost his wife at the hands of now convicted criminal James Griffin, nicknamed 'The Crow". But when Simon sees reports of an abduction on the news, he is haunted by the similarity to his wife's kidnapping. With a potential copycat or a disciple of The Crow on the loose, his safety is also in question.

Another former vampire, Jason Watkins starred as the evil Herrick in Toby Whithouse’s supernatural drama Being Human and as store manager Gavin in Sky's supermarket sitcom Trollied. More recently he played ill-fated forensic scientist Tim Ifield in Line of Duty and nabbed a leading actor Bafta in ITV's real-life drama The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies.

DCI Jane Burr – Sunetra Sarker

Jane Burr is an ex-colleague of Tom's who has ascended the ranks and leads the investigation into Julie Delaney’s abduction. She’s focused, driven, and not afraid to say no to our main character.

Sarker has a long list of TV appearances, including Emmerdale, Holby City, Celebrity MasterChef, Broadchurch, No Angels and a stint on Strictly Come Dancing, where she finished seventh with partner Brendan Cole. Her longest role, however, was as Dr Zoe Hanna in Casualty between 2007 and 2016. Most recently she starred in Channel 4's school-set drama Ackley Bridge.
