Stranger Things and Black Panther dominate MTV Movie and TV Awards 2018
And Avengers: Infinity War picks up three nominations – despite only being in cinemas a week
The nominees for MTV’s annual Movie & TV Awards have been released, and it looks like Stranger Things and Black Panther could have plenty to celebrate next month.
The Marvel movie starring Chadwick Boseman picked up eight nominations – including Best Movie and Best Hero. Letitia Wright also picked up a nomination for best Scene Stealer as Shuri and Michael B. Jordan could pick up the Best Villian award for his role as N’Jadaka/Erik Killmonger.

Netflix’s Upside Down series Stranger Things also earned six nods in categories including Best Performance in a Show (Millie Bobby Brown) and Best Kiss (yes, that’s really an award) for Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard.
Last year’s horror movie Stephen King’s It could also bring home four awards in categories such as best movie most frightened performance (for Sophia Lillis). And despite only being in cinemas just over a week, Avengers: Infinity War earned three nominations, including Best Movie and Best Villian for Josh Brolin’s Thanos.
The ceremony itself will be held on 18th June in Los Angeles, hosted by comedian and actor Tiffany Haddish.
