Amanda Donohoe

Actress Amanda Donohoe has appeared in Emmerdale, L.A Law and Ally McBeal. She also starred opposite Jim Carrey in 97’s Liar, Liar. Here’s hoping she hasn’t lied about her culinary skills and can whip up more than a piece of toast.

Sam Nixon

Better known as one half of presenting duo Sam and Mark, Nixon originally rose to fame as a contestant on 2003’s Pop Idol. He went on to release music as a duo with fellow contestant Mark Rhodes, before they made a name for themselves as presenters in the children’s TV market. Both have appeared on reality show Dancing on Ice. Sam will be hoping he doesn’t find himself on thin ice with the judges in the kitchen (apologies: couldn't resist that one).

Mica Paris

Singer Mica Paris will take to the stage this summer in the UK tour of musical Love Me Tender. Mica has performed with Boyz II Men and Michael Bolton, and hosted BBC Radio 2's Soul Solutions. Mica took part in Come Dine With Me in 2005 and emerged victorious, so expect harmonious things from her in the kitchen.

Syd Little

Syd Little made his name as the first half of comedy double act Little and Large (Eddie Large), and now he's finally stepping up to really rattle those pots and pans. Syd runs the "Little" restaurant at The Strawberry Gardens pub in Fleetwood with his wife Sheree. So we’ve high hopes Syd can take the Celebrity MasterChef title.

Danny Crates

Danny is a former Paralympic athlete who specialised in 800m sprinting. With a whole host of gold medals under his belt, the sportsman is bound to bring a bit of competitiveness to the kitchen. He’s also a motivational speaker now, so will hopefully keep his fellow contestants galvanised when things get a bit stressful.
