The three finalists of the 2021 series were revealed to be Frankie Bridge, Simon Gregson and Danny Miller.

However, as the big final day came around on Sunday 12th December 2021, it was Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller who was crowned the series' winner and King of the Castle.

On Saturday 11th December, football legend David Ginola became the last celebrity to be eliminated from I'm A Celebrity 2021 ahead of the final after the remaining campmates faced the legendary Cyclone trial.

Ginola's departure followed a double elimination on Friday 10th December, when EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt and Olympic diver Matty Lee both said their goodbyes to the camp.

The pair followed in the footsteps of former cast members BBC Breakfast legend Louise Minchin, music producer Naughty Boy, radio DJ Snoochie Shy, Paralympian Kadeena Cox and choreographer Arlene Phillips.

Here's all you need to know about the order the celebrities departed the 2021 series.

Who has left I’m A Celebrity 2021?

Danny Miller (WINNER)

Former Emmerdale star Danny Miller has been crowned the show's first King of the Castle and the winner of the 2021 series during the grand final on Sunday 12th December 2021.

Overwhelmed with his win, Danny was crowned by his friend and third-place contestant Frankie Bridge.

Danny had been in the show since the beginning and endured 20 days in the camp before being crowned the winner.

Prior to entering the camp, Danny had said of him and his fiancee Steph: “Steph and I had a long discussion about me taking part in I’m A Celebrity.

:We were due to start IVF earlier this year and that would have meant the baby would have been due next March, so it wouldn’t have mattered.

“But then a miracle happened and Steph fell pregnant (without IVF). I knew my baby would only be about a month old when I went into the Castle. I was worried about leaving the baby with Steph on her own but she is a midwife and I know our baby will be in perfect hands. She has been incredibly supportive and she knows what a great opportunity this is to take part.”

Congratulations, Danny!

Simon Gregson (Second place)

Coronation Street favourite Simon Gregson came in second place on the grand final of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! 2021.

Simon revealed his delight at Danny's win during the final scenes of the show's ending.

He also told Ant and Dec in his final interview that the series had given him more confidence in himself.

Before heading into the camp, Simon had commented: “I am a little bit nervous. You don’t want to come to come in halfway through when everyone’s kind of had to endure what they’ve had to endure. But thinking that it might be you know, something quite nice for someone to come in.

"It’s a new faces and somebody who probably smells a little bit better than everybody else. Maybe they’ll all gravitate towards me around that can open fire.”

Frankie Bridge (Third Place)

Loose Women panellist and former singer in The Saturdays, Frankie Bridge became the ninth celebrity to be eliminated by the public vote and came in third place in the final on Sunday 12th December.

In her exit interview with Ant and Dec, Frankie revealed her delight at having beaten husband Wayne Bridge's record of coming in fifth place on the show.

Frankie also picked Danny Miller as her ideal celebrity to win the series due to his length on the show.

Prior to entering the Castle, Frankie had spoken about following in the footsteps of her husband who competed in the 2016 series of the show.

"Ever since Wayne took part, he has been desperate for me to do it too and he can't wait to watch me squirm and scream," Bridge had commented.

"I think people will be surprised to see me doing I'm A Celebrity, and I am scared of most things, but I really want to push myself."

David Ginola (eighth elimination)

Football legend and pundit David Ginola became the eighth celebrity to be eliminated from the camp on Saturday 11th December.

During his exit interview with Ant and Dec, Ginola called his time on the show a "win".

He said: "I was adopted when I came to Newcastle in 1995 and this is a second adoption."

Prior to heading into the camp, Ginola had commented: “It is starting to sink in now that I am doing I’m A Celebrity. When I got offered the chance to do the programme, I thought, ‘Why not?’

“It’s going to be a great experience and it’s the chance to spend three weeks in the castle doing things you have never done in your life.”

It sounds like it was certainly an experience for David!

Matty Lee (seventh elimination)

Olympic diver Matty Lee became the seventh celebrity to be eliminated from I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 on Friday 10th December.

During his exit interview with Ant and Dec, Matty told the presenters: “I wanted the public to see a more relaxed me. I know there’s a funny side to me and I thought going on here would show who I am”.

Prior to entering the castle, Matty had commented:“Nothing ever prepares you for what life will be like after you do well in the Olympics. I was and still am mainly in shock that I am doing I’m A Celebrity. My two childhood dreams were to win an Olympic medal and take part in my favourite TV series. And now I am doing both this year!

“When I told Tom [Daley, diving partner], he was in shock too! He is so excited for me and he has always been so supportive and helped me a lot over the past three years. He gives me advice about anything whether it is relationships or whatever – I always ask Tom.”

We're sure Tom is proud of how far Matty went in the competition!

Adam Woodyatt (sixth elimination)

EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt became the sixth celebrity to be voted off of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 on Friday 10th December.

An emotional Adam told Ant and Dec in his exit interview: “Erm, oh yeah, mentally I have sorted myself out – my head was in the right place for going in there, that’s why I have loved it so much.”

Prior to entering the show, Adam had revealed: “I would have actually quite liked if I hadn’t found out about who the other 10 [contestants] are. I would have been going in there completely blind.

"Obviously, there’s some people who I do know and I know their history and others I don’t and I deliberately haven’t Googled or researched them because I’d rather hear from them."

It looks like he's certainly made some friends in there!

Louise Minchin (fifth elimination)

Former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin became the fifth celebrity to be eliminated on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! on 9th December.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after being eliminated, popular campmate Lousie said: "I've learned so much about myself and about other people.

"It's been fantastic, thank you for keeping me here for so long."

Before heading into the Castle, Lousie had commented: “I have spent the last 20 years immersed in news every single day. For me to not know what is going on in the news is going to be extraordinary.

“Not having access to the phone and not constantly scrolling, looking at everything is a difficult thing to let go of but I am also actually looking forward to it.”

Naughty Boy (fourth elimination)

Naughty Boy became the latest star to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! on Wednesday (8th December).

Speaking to presenters Ant and Dec about what he’d learned in the castle, Naughty Boy said: “How to just get on with people and support each other and not really take anything for granted.”

After seeing his highlights reel, he added: “I feel like my mum is proud. She has been watching me every day.”

Naughty Boy previously revealed he signed up to the show in a bid to raise awareness for dementia after caring for his mother, who suffers from the condition.

Speaking ahead of joining the series, he said: “I think it is important for people like myself to create awareness about it. Dementia UK needs constant funding, and I am going to miss Mum the most whilst I am away in the castle. I live with Mum, and I am used to seeing her all the time.”

Snoochie Shy (third elimination)

Snoochie Shy was the third celebrity to be voted off I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Tuesday (7th December).

Looking over her best moments with presenters Ant and Dec, Snoochie said of her fellow contestants: “I met so many great people that I never would have met in my everyday life. I feel like I’ve got a little family now.

“I had some of the best times in camp, from twerking to dancing… I had such a laugh in there," she added.

Kadeena Cox (second elimination)

Kadeena Cox was the second star to be voted off I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2021.

The Paralympian left Gwrych Castle during Monday night's (6th December) show after receiving the least number of votes from the public.

Presenters Ant and Dec entered the camp to deliver the news, with Kadeena joining them shortly after for an interview.

The athlete, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis seven years ago, revealed she had gone on the show to test herself.

“I thought I’d go in there and try out and see how it is with MS, and it was hard,” she said.

“I thought it would be a lot easier than what it was and I guess I’ve just learned to deal with my condition at home, and that’s easy for me, so I thought ‘Yeah, I’ll be fine, I can show other people with MS and chronic conditions that we can do this’.

“And it was harder than I thought, but I feel like I still showed that even with the trials and tribulations of, just life as someone with a chronic condition, you can still crack on and have fun.”

Kadeena recently revealed she made sure her I’m A Celebrity 2021 trials would be adapted so she can take part ahead of her arrival.

“That actually was one of my biggest fears and one of the reasons I probably didn’t want to do the show, because I didn’t want to be that person that would be exempt from loads of trials,” Kadeena told RadioTimes.com.

“I’ve always been a person who is more about what I can do rather than what I can’t do, but I have spoken with the team and we talked about ways in which we can adapt things and ways in which we can make sure I can do the trials without having to miss opportunities,” she continued.

“So [there are] things in place so that I can do the trials, which is great. And it’s great that the team have worked so closely with me to make sure that I won’t have to feel like my disability is holding me back.”

Arlene Phillips (first elimination)

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Dame Arlene Phillips was the first contestant to be voted off this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Dame Arlene, who at 78 years old is the oldest ever contestant to take on the show's notorious challenges, left Grwych Castle in North Wales after receiving the fewest public votes on Sunday night (5th December).

Speaking after leaving the camp, Dame Arlene admitted she was “relieved” to be heading on her way.

“You know, I want to see my family, but (I’m) emotional because of everything this has been, the highs and the lows, it’s been something in my life that I never imagined doing and it’s been extraordinary.”

She added that the I’m A Celeb experience had been "much harder” than she expected.

“I’d psyched myself up, I was so prepared for it,” she said. “I’d focused on why I was doing this and what I want to achieve and get out of it, you know, for my granddaughter – to try to show I was fearless but it is hard.”

She went on to cite musician Naughty Boy as the person she wants to win the show.

Richard Madeley (not by elimination)

Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley became the first casualty of the I’m A Celeb castle – but not because of the public vote.

The TV presenter was forced to quit the show after being whisked to hospital on 25th November due to feeling “unwell”.

After spending time in hospital, Madeley released a statement saying: “Hello all! Richard here – firstly just to say that I’m absolutely FINE. I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution.”

He added: “By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the COVID ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp.”

A statement from I’m a Celebrity further explained: “Our strict COVID protocols mean Richard has sadly had to leave the show as he is no longer in the bubble the celebrities form when entering the castle. He has been a truly brilliant camp mate and we thank him for being part of this series.”

Madeley’s exit followed the events of Wednesday night’s episode (24th November) which saw the presenter compete in the gruelling Castle Kitchen Nightmares challenge, in which he had to search for a series of stars in a rodent-filled kitchen and dive down a rubbish chute crammed with fish guts.

I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues on ITV on Tuesday 7th December at 9pm.
