Despite a few obstacles, it's been another terrific series in the Welsh castle – and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! draws to a close tonight with the grand final.

Of the 12 famous faces that first entered the camp in November, only Frankie Bridge, Simon Gregson and Danny Miller now remain, and that trio will now be fighting it out to be named King or Queen of the jungle in the I'm A Celebrity final.

The series has been hit by more than a few problems during the run, with dreadful weather conditions wreaking havoc in the first week and campmate Richard Madeley pulling out after being admitted to hospital – but the show has gone on.

There have been as many challenging – and often disgusting – tasks as ever for the unfortunate celebrities, while Ant and Dec have been on fine form, even aiming a few barbs at the Prime Minister.

The show is now in its 21st series and has been held in North Wales instead of Australia for the second year in a row due to ongoing complications caused by COVID-19.

Before the final, you can check out our complete guide to the I'm A Celebrity castle, which will give you an idea of the circumstances in which contestants are forced to live.

The series' transmission pattern has been affected by Storm Arwen and as such had to take a break off-air from Friday (26th November), but returned on Tuesday, 30th November, 2021.

Here's what time the I'm A Celebrity final will air on TV tonight.

I'm A Celebrity 2021 final start time

The final of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight on ITV and ITV Hub from 9pm.

The episode on Monday (29th November) had been cancelled due to damage to the production base caused by extreme weather conditions.

The show thankfully returned on Tuesday, 30th November , 2021.

This had also followed there being no episodes on the weekend of 27th-28th November due to the damage sustained to the production by Storm Arwen and the cast needing to be removed from the castle.

Instead, clip-shows showing the best moments from the previous series were shown instead.

There was previously no episode of the show will air on Friday, 26th November, 2021, due to the effects of Storm Arwen.

Altogether, four episodes of the series had to be cancelled due to the issues with the weather.

The episodes that air are made available afterwards on ITV Hub and vary from an hour to an hour-and-a-half depending on the events of the episode – such as if there is a trial.

I'm A Celebrity 2021 start date

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! 2021 started on Sunday, 21st November, 2021 at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with the final airing three weeks later on Sunday, 12th December 2021.

I'm A Celebrity 2021 returned to a full series for 2021, with episodes airing every night unlike the 2021 run which lost out on a Saturday night instalment due to the COVID-19 pandemic (although Storm Arwen did disrupt this slightly).

Additionally, before the run began ITV confirmed that the ITV Hub spin-off show I'm A Celebrity...The Daily Drop had been axed and a similarly formatted spin-off did not air on ITV2 or ITV Hub this year.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed the news, saying: “The Daily Drop won’t be returning this year but we’d like to thank Vick Hope and everyone involved in the show last year for bringing fans of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! all the latest news and gossip.”
The series had been fronted by presenter Vick Hope.

ITV spoiled fans with lots of teaser trailers ahead of the series, including the one below of Ant and Dec pretending to make the stars for the trials.

They didn't give away a whole lot about who would be on the show or what they would be up to but were are a suitable tease nonetheless.

I'm A Celebrity 2021 filming location

I'm a Celebrity was filmed in North Wales again this year.

Producers had been hoping for a return to Australia in 2021, however due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions this is still proving difficult.

On August 2nd, Katie Rawcliffe, ITV Head of Entertainment Commissioning, said: “We can confirm today that we’ll be returning to Wales for the 2021 series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!."

She continued: “We’ve always said we have contingencies in place for the series if the COVID situation continued to bring uncertainty, and after a highly successful run at the castle last year we’re pleased that we can return there.

“I have no doubt the production team will produce another hugely entertaining series.”

Richard Cowles, Director of Unscripted at Lifted Entertainment added: “With the continued uncertainty around COVID and international travel we have taken the decision not to return to our home in Australia for the 2021 series.

“We’re excited to return to Gwrych Castle. The last series was a huge success and we were made to feel so welcome by everyone locally and can’t wait to see everyone again.”

Dr Mark Baker, Chair of the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust said: “I’m absolutely delighted that I’m A Celebrity has chosen Gwrych Castle to be its UK location for the 2021 series. Gwrych Castle is a beautiful grade I listed historic house and a must-see destination for tourists visiting Wales.

“I’m A Celebrity being here will really help support its ongoing restoration as well as giving the region a much-needed economic boost. We are all very excited to be working with the team again.”

It comes after the network revealed I'm A Celebrity contingency plans in case the show couldn't return to its original location in Australia.

I’m a Celebrity in 2021 hosts

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were once again the faces of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Many wondered if Holly Willoughby would be given a permanent role on the show after she filled in for Ant McPartlin back in 2018, however the show returned to normal the year after with Ant and Dec presenting the show together.
