Strictly Come Dancing is upon us and the excitement is in full swing as the celebrities have now been paired with their professional dance partners for this year's competition.

Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Strictly began celebrations tonight for its landmark 20th year on air, and along with stellar dance numbers, the pairings were revealed in truly dazzling fashion.

As ever, the couples all took to the dance floor for the first time in the series to perform a group number, and this year had it all – including an extra special performance from reigning champs Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.

Promising to be an extra special series with even more glitz, glamour and unforgettable performances, Strictly Come Dancing 2024 will be sure to have everyone on their feet and dancing each Saturday night.

So, here are this year's Strictly Come Dancing couples:

After tonight's launch show, the countdown is officially on for the first live shows of the series, in which this year's line-up will be scored on their first dance by returning judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.

The first songs and dances of the series are yet to be revealed, but fans are undoubtedly in for an exciting set of performances from all the celebrities and their partners.

In this year's professionals line-up, fans will note that Michelle Tsiakkas has her first celebrity partner since joining the show, as well as Aljaž Škorjanec returning to the show after two years away from the dance competition.
