Who are the Golden Buzzer acts on Britain’s Got Talent 2017? Sarah Ikumu, MerseyGirls, Daliso Chaponda, Matt Edwards and Kyle Tomlinson
Here are all the acts that have automatically made it through to the live semi-finals of BGT
MerseyGirls – Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer
The dance group formerly known as Just Us is made up of best friends Alice (17), Poppy (15), Julia (15), Annie (17) and Rebecca (16). They met at their local dance school. Ahead of their performance, an excitable Julia exclaimed: “I’ve watched BGT all my life and I’ve always dreamt of being on it. Sitting here is really amazing – I'm shaking!"
However, their performance was tinged with sadness after Julia revealed she suffered from scoliosis. Alesha Dixon was moved to tears and hit her Golden Buzzer for the five girls, sending them straight through to the live semi-finals.
MerseyGirls said: “It’s so surreal, because we’re just normal girls from Merseyside and we never thought anything like this would happen to us. The reaction so far has been surreal! Everyone has been so supportive and people who used to get bullied about their back are now going to school with their back braces and are talking about it because of Julia’s scoliosis.
"It feels amazing to know we actually made people confident about it. For the live shows, we are really excited to just show our new dance, we’ve made it bigger and better and we’re really excited to show everyone who has supported us and raise awareness about scoliosis.”
