35 actors who have travelled between the universes of Doctor Who and Star Wars
From the Tardis to the Death Star, these actors have clocked up appearances in both sci-fi classics
18. Christina Chong
Line of Duty’s Chong had a small but pivotal role in Doctor Who’s 2011 mid-series finale A Good Man Goes to War as soldier Lorna Bucket – and in 2015 she made her Star Wars debut for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Sadly her scenes were cut before the film was released.
19. Aryion Bakare
Blink and you might miss the Blue Squadron's Number 4 in Rogue One. But you certainly can't miss him in Doctor Who's The Woman Who Lived. He starred as the space travelling Leonian, Leandro (basically, the guy who looked like a lion and hung out with Maisie Williams).
20. Julian Glover
The Veteran sci-fi actor played Maximilian Veers in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and he’s also popped up in classic Who twice. Once he played the role of Richard the Lionheart in 1965 serial the Crusade, and then returned (under heavy prosthetics) as the baddie Scaroth in City of Death. If you’re still not sure where you recognise him from he’s also appeared as a Nazi sympathiser in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and more recently as grand Maester Pycelle in Game of Thrones.
21. Deep Roy
The actor (best known for playing the Oompa-Loompas in Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake) appeared in Tom Baker’s The Talons of Weng-Chiang story as the nasty Mr Sin – but he was also a member of Jabba the Hutt’s band in Return of the Jedi (though hidden under prosthetics). It was a small role, but his character was called Droopy McCool which is definitely something for the memoirs.
