There's trouble brewing for EastEnders' fan-favourite couple Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) – and of course, it's all down to Suki's vengeful ex-husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry).

When Nish was left handcuffed in the back of the Minute Mart by Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), he overheard a damning conversation between Suki and their son Vinny (Shiv Jalota), who have been plotting to fleece dying Nish.

After spending all night locked in the shop, Nish shouted for help, while across the Square, Priya noted the alarm on Nish's phone for taking his medication.

In the Minute Mart, Priya taunted Nish with his pills, telling him that no one else was due to work yet, so it was just the two of them – and it was time to admit he had lied about sleeping with her.

Again, Nish refused, threatening to get Priya arrested for false imprisonment; while Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) told Suki and Vinny that Nish was missing.

Ravi and Vinny then walked in to find Nish on the floor with Priya stood over him; and as Nish sacked Priya, Suki and Vinny were horrified when they realised that Nish had been in the shop at the exact time they were discussing their scheme.

Suki explained to Eve that if Nish had heard everything, she was worried for Vinny. Eve tried to persuade Suki to drop the plan, but Suki wasn't for swaying.

At the Panesar home, Vinny and Ravi looked after Nish, who gifted the call centre business to Ravi as Suki watched on. Nish told Vinny he had impressed him, adding that he had bigger and bolder plans for him.

When Suki insisted that Vinny deserved the business more, Nish insisted that he had other plans for Vinny that were none of her concern. Ominous indeed!

Suki stood up for Priya, but as she tried to work out what Nish knew, he claimed he had been "out cold" while he was trapped all night.

Later, Nish asked granddaughter Avani (Aaliyah James) to track down a woman called Ayesha Siddhu, an "old friend of Suki's" who she was very "acquainted" with.

As Suki and Eve happily strolled by, Nish set his sights on the pair, but what is his plan? EastEnders has already announced that Laila Rouass has been cast as Ayesha, and she's due to debut next week as the widow of Nish's murder victim from 20 years earlier!

How will Ayesha's presence impact SukEve? And what's in store for Vinny?
