Will has been receiving threats for weeks from a mystery tormentor, who threatened to expose his fling with ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) unless he paid them off with thousands of pounds.

Will's current wife, Kim Tate (Claire King), had finally agreed to get their strained marriage back on track, and she invited Will home for a special lunch.

Meanwhile, Will signed the paperwork promising Caleb Miligan (Will Ash) his share of the haulage company, in the event that he couldn't pay back the hefty loan on time.

Brushing off Caleb's questions about his shifty behaviour, Will sent the blackmailer a text confirming he had the money. He then warned co-owner Jimmy King (Nick Miles) about his deal with Caleb, but insisted that he didn't intend on letting his shares go.

Returning to Home Farm, Will found lunch burning in the kitchen and Kim missing in action. He soon received a phone call, with AI used to recreate his own voice telling him that the blackmailer had kidnapped Kim.

They sent Will a location, and he entered some woods, finding a creepy mannequin dressed as Kim, with a note leading him further into the area and warning that time was running out.

Finding a shovel stuck in a large patch of earth, Will was left instructions to dig a grave, panicking when he heard Kim's voice shouting for help.

Beneath the soil was a coffin bearing Will's name, containing a walkie talkie with a recording of Kim's voice. He was then hit with the shovel, and as Will fell into the coffin, Kim stood over him looking triumphantly vindicated.

Kim had guessed Will's infidelity due to his own behaviour, and had been testing him via blackmail to see if her suspicions were correct. Will was forced to confess his cheating, while Kim walked away, leaving Will literally stuck in the mud!

Of course, Emmerdale fans shouldn't be surprised by Kim's actions, given the amount of times she's faked her own death; not to mention leaving people for dead!

It was great to see Kim back to her best, even if her best does involve sinister antics. Is Kim's marriage to Will done and dusted?
