Two Premier League sides firmly in contention for Champions League football will be desperate to secure all three points as Aston Villa and Newcastle meet on Saturday.

Unai Emery's side know that securing fifth place would be enough for a second consecutive season in Europe's elite competition — their only remaining route after being knocked out in the quarter-finals by PSG on Tuesday, despite a dramatic 3-2 victory on the night.

The Villans have won their last four on the trot in the Premier League, and top scorer Ollie Watkins will be itching to get the nod up front.

The 29-year-old was benched against Southampton last time out in the league, and only came on against PSG with 15 minutes to play.

Newcastle are in a strong position to finish in the top five, with a game in hand while leading Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa.

With no midweek commitments, they'll likely be the fresher side, buoyed by their emphatic 4-1 win over Manchester United last Sunday.

Jason Tindall will once again assume duties in the dugout, as Eddie Howe continues to recover in hospital with pneumonia.
