Blackburn Rovers are searching for their first victory in five games when they welcome bitter rivals Burnley to Ewood Park this weekend.

John Eustace's side have fallen to seventh in the Championship table after a 1-1 draw with Leeds United on New Year's Day continued their winless streak.

The hosts will need to be on top form to claim the three points as Burnley, who sit second in the standings, have not been beaten in their last 12 league outings.

Hannibal Mejbri will be absent for the visitors, however, after seeing red in the Clarets' 0-0 draw with Stoke City on New Year's Day.

Lyle Foster netted for Burnley when the points were shared in the first East Lancashire derby of the season last August, and the South African striker could return to Scott Parker's XI after recently returning from injury.
