Chesterfield and Cheltenham are bidding to bounce back from defeats when they meet at the SMH Group Stadium this weekend.

The Spireites, last season's National League champions, suffered their second loss of the 2024/25 campaign at Port Vale last Saturday to continue their mixed start to life back in League Two.

Paul Cook's side were among the pre-season fancies to challenge for promotion, but a return of eight points from six games leaves them in the middle of the pack at this early stage.

Cheltenham were hoping to shrug off last term's relegation from League One by making a flying start to the new campaign, but the Robins are struggling, with only six points on the board.

Michael Flynn's side have lost all three of their away games, conceding seven goals in the process, and they will need to focus their attention on stopping Chesterfield forward James Berry, who has scored in his last two home matches.
