The increasing amount of cash in the top flight of English football means pay packets have skyrocketed in recent years, with the biggest earner on a basic wage of nearly half-a-million pounds per week.

Saudi Arabian clubs are posing a threat to the financial order, but the Premier League remains the leading destination for top talent.

So, who are the highest-paid players in the Premier League? Well, we've put in the hard yards to bring you estimates of the 10 players on the most money.

If that wasn't enough of a tease, some of the biggest names in the division including Alisson, Gabriel Jesus and Virgil van Dijk are missing from the list.

RadioTimes.com examines the top 10 highest-paid players in the Premier League – the world's most lucrative division. We've based our figures on reports from Forbes, reputable news outlets and a variety of official sources to get us as close to the mark as possible.

All figures mentioned are before tax and do not include the array of bonuses and extra fees stashed away in the fine print of every contract. Players' various sponsorship deals are also not included but, in some cases, add extra zeroes to the end of their pay cheques.

Highest-paid footballers in the Premier League 2024

10. Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) – £300,000

Marcus Rashford has blown hot and cold in the last few years for Manchester United but when he's on it, the England man is one of the best forwards in the top flight.

His wages reflect exactly that, with the 26-year-old near the top of the biggest Premier League earners list.

9. Jack Grealish (Manchester City) – £300,000

Manchester City stumped up a then-British record £100 million fee to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021.

The most expensive English player in history put pen to paper on a six-year contract and he was crucial to City's treble success in the 2022/23 season.

8. Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) – £315,000

Chelsea forked out a Premier League record fee worth £106.8 million for Enzo Fernandez's services in the 2023 January transfer window after the midfielder played a starring role for Argentina at the Qatar World Cup.

The Todd Boehly era at Stamford Bridge has seen new signings put pen to paper on long-term contracts and Fernandez is no different as he is on a deal until the summer of 2031.

7. Jadon Sancho (Manchester United) – £320,000

Manchester United's long pursuit of Jadon Sancho reached a climax when Borussia Dortmund agreed terms on a £73 million deal before the 2021/22 campaign.

The England international has yet to hit the heights he reached in the Bundesliga and he's ended up back on loan with Dortmund after a fall out with Erik ten Hag but he's on a five-year contract, with the option of an extra season.

6. Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) – £325,000

Raheem Sterling has played for three of the biggest clubs in the country as the former Liverpool forward left Manchester City for Chelsea ahead of the 2022/23 season.

One of Todd Boehly's first big signings at Stamford Bridge, the 29-year-old cost a cool £47.5 million and is under contract on these terms with the Blues until 2027.

5. Raphael Varane (Manchester United) – £340,000

Manchester United raided Real Madrid for centre-back Raphael Varane in the summer of 2021 and handed the World Cup winner a bumper four-year deal to make the switch to Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old is considered one of the best defenders in the last 10 years so it's hardly surprising that his pay packet has him towards the top earners.

4. Casemiro (Manchester United) – £340,000

There were doubts about Manchester United's decision to fork out £60 million for Casemiro and hand the 31-year-old midfielder a long-term contract and while he's impressed, those doubters have arguably been proven right.

The former Real Madrid ace signed an initial four-year deal with the option of an extra season, which looks likely to be triggered, despite the cost.

3. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £350,000

Mohamed Salah signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool in the summer of 2022 and became one of the Premier League's highest earners in the process.

The Egyptian forward is the Reds' all-time Premier League top scorer and has been a key part of the team's success under Jurgen Klopp.

2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – £375,000

Erling Haaland became one of the highest-earning players in the Premier League when putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

The Norwegian hotshot has been smashing scoring records left, right and centre for Pep Guardiola's team and a decent goal bonus means he earns extra wedge more often than not.

1. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) – £400,000

Manchester City's main man in midfield, Kevin De Bruyne, rocketed to the top of the list after signing a long-term contract extension at the Etihad Stadium in April 2021.

The 32-year-old has been, arguably, the most important addition to the squad during Khaldoon Al Mubarak's ownership and has played a key role in the club's last five Premier League titles.
