Mohamed Salah marked his new Liverpool contract with a brilliant assist in the 2-1 win over West Ham to help the Reds tighten their grip on the Premier League title.

The Anfield faithful feared they were set to lose the Egyptian King when his contract expired in the summer but he has now signed a two-year extension.

The news will spark celebrations at Liverpool and draw groans from the rest of the top flight as Salah has been a class above this term.

He leads the top flight in both goals and assists while he's closing in on the Premier League record for the most goal contributions in a single season (47), which is shared by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.
