Troubled Reading will try to temporarily put their takeover woes to one side and bounce back to winning ways when they host Huddersfield Town this weekend.

Royals boss Rubén Sellés has thanked fans for their 'unbelievable' support following the collapse of Rob Couhig's bid to buy the club from unpopular owner Dai Yongge, which sparked fresh fears over the club's future.

The failed takeover comes amid a two-game losing streak that has seen Reading tumble down the League One table, and Sellés faces a big job to boost morale after a 5-2 defeat at Bolton Wanderers last Saturday.

It is, arguably, a good time for the hosts to face Huddersfield, however, as the visitors have also been beaten in their last two league games.

The Terriers suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Northampton Town last Saturday, and have had less time to prepare for this match as they were in action on Tuesday evening, losing 2-0 to Steve Bruce's Blackpool.
