Southampton will hope the Carabao Cup continues to provide a welcome distraction from their Premier League struggles when they welcome Championship Stoke City to St Mary's for their fourth-round tie on Tuesday evening.

The Potters secured away victories at Carlisle United and Middlesbrough in the early stages of the Carabao Cup before squeezing past Fleetwood Town on penalties in the third round last month.
