Leeds United will attempt to continue their hot streak when they tackle tricky opposition in the form of Sunderland in midweek.

The Whites are the Championship's form team thanks to a seven-game unbeaten run - six wins and a draw - that has seen them climb to third in the table and within just seven points of Ipswich Town in second.

Daniel Farke's side claimed their latest three points at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, courtesy of a 2-0 victory, as Daniel James found the back of the net for the third game in a row.

The Wales international will be looking to score again against managerless Sunderland, who responded to Tony Mowbray's shock sacking by recording a 2-1 home win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, which saw them claw their way back into the play-off spots.

It's fair to say the Black Cats' home form has been mixed, as they have won six and lost four of their 10 matches at the Stadium of Light, so caretaker boss Mike Dodds will be looking for back-to-back victories to consolidate their place in the top six as he prepares to hand over to Mowbray's permanent successor.
